The Barton County Administrator’s Office
was established in November, 1985, with the adoption of Resolution
1985-15. This Resolution authorizes the position of County Administrator
and details the functions of the office. Since that time, the
Administrator’s Office has grown to a staff of four persons providing a
number of services within the County. In 2004, the County Counselor was
hired to serve as Administrator—thus resulting in a change to the
position that includes those duties related to the civil duties
performed by the Counselor.
Email has become a regular means of
communication. While the County urges you to contact
officials with questions, Open Records Requests should be made
via the telephone or in person. We ask that citizens
remember that email is normally monitored during regular office
hours. However, training and other scheduled events often
take personnel away from immediate access to their email
accounts.
