Advance Voting
Advance voting may begin as early as 20 days prior to any election.
Advance voting options are:
1) Vote in advance in person
2) Vote in advance by mail
1) Vote in Advance in Person at County Clerk/Election Office
You may vote in advance in person at the County Clerk/Election Office as early as 20
days prior to the election during regular office hours. The deadline for voting in person
at the Election Office is 12:00 noon on the Monday prior to Election Day.
2) Vote in Advance by Mail
You can vote in advance by mail by completing an
Application for
an Advance Ballot and mailing
or faxing it to the Barton County Clerks Office. Fax: (620) 793-1990.
- Applications are also available at this web site.
- The application is a request for a ballot to be mailed to you. A signature is required
on the application. E-mail applications cannot be accepted.
- Applications for a ballot to be mailed to you must be received at our office before 5:00
p.m. on the Friday
prior to the election.
- A sick/disabled/illiterate voter may apply for an Advance Voting Ballot until 12:00 noon
on Election Day.
Affidavit of Assistance Forms are available from our office to assist the
sick/disabled/illiterate voter in the application and voting process.
- Ballots may be mailed beginning 20 days prior to Election Day.
- Voted ballots must be received at the Election Office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day
to be counted.
- Voted ballots received after 7:00 p.m. on Election Day cannot be counted.
- A separate application must be completed for each election.
- No ballots will be counted before Election Day.

Who Can Vote An Advance Voting Ballot?
Any registered voter in Barton County can vote in advance. You simply complete and submit an
Application for an Advance Voting Ballot to
the Election Office. You will need
