| The Commissioners meet in
agenda session each Monday morning, unless announced, from 9:00 am until
close. The sessions are carefully scheduled through the use of an
agenda. The agenda lists the items that will be discussed each
week. Although it does not happen often, the agendas are subject
to change. Items can be added or deleted by the Commission and, of
course, there is an opportunity for the public to present items of
interest at the end of each meeting.
In December of each year, the Commission, under Kansas
Statutes, develops a listing of persons that will receive the agendas
during the upcoming year. Generally, interested parties must
provide the Administrator's Office a notice in
writing that they wish to receive the agenda each week. Agendas
and minutes can be mailed; agendas can be mailed or emailed.
The minutes are a written recording of the meeting
happenings. The County Clerk tapes each meeting, then provides a
written synopsis of the meetings. Included in the minutes are the
items discussed, action taken and other highlights. |
