The Barton County Treasurer's primary function is to
collect real estate, personal property, intangible and motor vehicle
taxes, special assessments and other miscellaneous taxes for Barton
County, cities, townships, school districts and other taxing
jurisdictions. The Treasurer apportions and distributes such revenue to
local taxing units. In addition, the Treasurer functions as a bank for
all revenue-generating County departments.
Email has become a regular means of
communication. While the County urges you to contact
officials with questions, Open Records Requests should be made
via the telephone or in person. We ask that citizens
remember that email is normally monitored during regular office
hours. However, training and other scheduled events often
take personnel away from immediate access to their email
accounts.
