Associations

The Treasurer's Office acts as the collection agency for all vehicle, personal property, oil and gas and real estate taxes.
After collection, the collected monies are distributed to the following tax entities:
Cities Barton Co Community College Library Districts
Townships Hospital Districts Ambulance
Schools Cemetery Districts Mental Health Facilities
Fire Districts County funds Miscellaneous Districts
 
Tax statements, mailed annually, are used as notification of taxes owed.  Real estate and personal property taxes are due and payable on or before December 20th.  First half taxes maybe be paid at that time, with the second half due by May 10th of the following year. 

Personal property becomes due and payable in full if the first half is not paid by December 20.  Personal property includes boats, campers, trailers, motor bikes and other such items.  Oil and gas is considered to be personal property.

Address Changes

Address or name changes for real estate must be completed through the Clerk's Office.
Personal property and oil and gas changes are made through the Appraiser's Office.
