Airport Rd - SW 40 Ave Resurfacing Project
NEWS RELEASE-
Venture Corporation plans to begin work on the Airport Road (SW 40 Avenue) resurfacing project on Thursday, June 30th. The project extends from the US-56 highway intersection north to the West Barton County Road intersection. Venture anticipates that it will take two days to mill the existing surface, and that they will begin the hot mix asphalt overlay work on Tuesday, July 5th. Following the completion of the overlay they will place a rock wedge along the edges of the roadway and stripe the new pavement with permanent markings. Venture Corporation will have two way traffic through the construction zone on one half of the road. Motorists are asked to slow down and be aware of the construction workers and equipment. The project is expected to be completed within two weeks, weather permitting.
The Barton County Road and Bridge crew has finished replacing the crossroad pipe replacement.
