NURSE – Barton County is accepting applications for Public Health Nurse (Maternal and Infant) for the Health Department until position is filled. Knowledge in broad array of public health programs, provides services on walk-in basis. Duties include immunizations; testing for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections; blood pressure, hemoglobin, blood sugar; provides supplies and evaluations of clients for family planning; medical consultations for medical referrals; and other duties as arise. Associates in nursing with current nursing license to practice in Kansas required, BSN preferred. Five years nursing experience preferred. Successful applicant must pass drug screen and physical assessment. Full job description: Nurse (Maternal & Infant)

 

DETENTION OFFICER – Barton County is accepting applications for Detention Officer for the Sheriff’s Office until position is filled. Provides for the safe keeping of prisoners in the custody of the Sheriff, overseeing confinement to include mealtime, activities and transports. Works shifts, must have no felony convictions and valid KS driver’s license. Successful applicants must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical assessment. CASE MANAGER - IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION / INTAKE – Barton County and 20th Judicial District Juvenile Services are accepting applications until position is filled. In addition to administering Intake and Assessments during the business day, this Case Manager will provide supervision for juvenile offenders on diversion through the County Attorney’s Offices in Barton, Ellsworth, Rice, Russell and Stafford Counties. Assesses youth and families utilizing the 20th Judicial District Juveniles Services (MASYI) database. Maintaining statistics and case history records. A four-year college degree with preference given to the behavior sciences, criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, or other related fields is preferred. Experience in related field may compensate for education. Valid Kansas driver’s license with no excessive traffic violations required. Criminal background check required prior to hiring and successful pass of pre-employment drug screen, physical assessment. Full job description:  Case Manager-Immediate Intervention/Intake
