Barton County seeks an Investigator / Office Manager / Victim-Witness Coordinator, a full-time position, under the supervision of the County Attorney. The position provides investigative services and reports, preparation of criminal and juvenile court cases and pleadings, supervision and coordination of the Victim Advocate program, office administration and budgeting, Kansas Criminal Justice Information Services (KCJIS) duties, and supervision of office support staff. The Investigator / Office Manager / Victim-Witness Coordinator is a full-time law enforcement officer certified by the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) and the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers’ Standards and Training (KS-CPOST). Requires more than two (2) years of progressive, law enforcement experience, with at least one (1) year of administrative level experience and a Bachelor’s or an Associate's degree, or full-time certified law enforcement officer with more than five (5) years of progressive, law enforcement experience, with at least two (2) years of administrative level experience. ON-CALL WORKER – 20th Judicial District Juvenile Services. Contractual positions open for grant-funded Barton County \ Juvenile Intake and Assessment. On-call outside the 8-5, M-F time periods. Travels to work with families and law enforcement to determine placement for youth. Must possess strong conflict resolution skills, ability to recognize need and refer to area resources. Administers testing to determine placement and referrals. Excellent written, oral communications. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but experience in Human Services or a related field will be considered. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, possess valid Kansas DL, successfully complete JIAS training, pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
