PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR - Barton County, Kansas, is accepting applications for Public Works Director until position is filled. The Public Works Director manages the resources and personnel in the Road and Bridge, Noxious Weed Departments as well as at the County-owned Memorial Parks. Work involves the maintenance and construction of County infrastructure, staff supervision, fleet and asset control, budget management. Minimum five years practical experience in administrative and / or supervisory work in engineering, public works or equivalent field. WIC PEER COUNSELOR – Health Department - Barton County accepting applications for part-time Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for Health Department until position is filled. Works Tuesdays only. Provides basic breastfeeding information and support to WIC mothers. Provides for the safe keeping of prisoners in the custody of the Sheriff, overseeing confinement to include mealtime, activities and transports. CASE MANAGER - IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION / INTAKE – Barton County and 20th Judicial District Juvenile Services are accepting applications until position is filled. In addition to administering Intake and Assessments during the business day, this Case Manager will provide supervision for juvenile offenders on diversion through the County Attorney’s Offices in Barton, Ellsworth, Rice, Russell and Stafford Counties. Assesses youth and families utilizing the 20th Judicial District Juveniles Services (MASYI) database. Maintaining statistics and case history records. A four-year college degree with preference given to the behavior sciences, criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, or other related fields is preferred. Experience in related field may compensate for education. Valid Kansas driver’s license with no excessive traffic violations required. Criminal background check required prior to hiring and successful pass of pre-employment drug screen, physical assessment. Full job description:  Case Manager-Immediate Intervention/Intake
