The Shared Clerk position typically works in the offices on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse but works on an “as needed” basis in other County offices with oversight of the County Administrator. Work include general clerical duties, fieldwork, personal property appraisals, and election duties. INTENSIVE SUPERVISION OFFICER - Barton County is accepting applications for an Intensive Supervision Officer I for Central Kansas Community Corrections until the position is filled. The person in this position will be responsible for the supervision of offenders assigned to CKCC by courts. Work includes – completes risk / needs assessments, develops supervision plans, maintains case files, crisis interventions, investigations, testifies in court, affidavit and report writing, monitors compliance with court and program orders. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, social science, criminal justice or related field required. Preference given to applicants with one or more years of corrections/criminal justice or related experience. GRANTS COORDINATOR – Barton County, Kansas, is accepting applications for the position of Grants Coordinator for the Administrator’s Office until the position is filled. This position is responsible for administering, directing grant program functions, including researching grant availability, writing and submitting applications, administering the grant within guidelines and maintaining all required records. Bachelor’s Degree or higher with specialization in journalism, English, speech, public relations, mass communications, public or business administration required as well as three years’ experience in an administrative or technical capacity which provided familiarity with local government structure and state/federal grant requirements. ON-CALL WORKER – Contractual positions open for grant-funded Barton County \ Juvenile Intake and Assessment. On-call outside the 8-5, M-F time periods. Travels to work with families and law enforcement to determine placement for youth. Must possess strong conflict resolution skills, ability to recognize need and refer to area resources. Administers testing to determine placement and referrals. Excellent written, oral communications. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but experience in Human Services or a related field will be considered. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, possess valid Kansas DL, successfully complete JIAS training, pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
