NOXIOUS WEED APPLICATOR - Noxious Weed is seeking an individual to apply chemical herbicides to control noxious weeds and other weed problems in Barton County. Performs chemical applications following the Pesticide Division of the Kansas State Board of Ag, the Barton County Weed Department and chemical label requirements. Regularly interacts with the public on all job tasks and requests. Requires a high school diploma or GED and one year of college or Vo-tech school preferred. Within six months of hire, must complete and pass test given by the Weed and Pesticide Division of the KSBA to receive Categories 9 and 6a (Governmental) Commercial Applicator License. ON-CALL WORKER – Contractual positions open for grant-funded Barton County \ Juvenile Intake and Assessment. On-call outside the 8-5, M-F time periods. Travels to work with families and law enforcement to determine placement for youth. Must possess strong conflict resolution skills, ability to recognize need and refer to area resources. Administers testing to determine placement and referrals. Excellent written, oral communications. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but experience in Human Services or a related field will be considered.
