Request For Proposal - Concrete Slab at Golden Belt Memorial Park
Barton County Solicits proposals to build a concrete slab at Golden Belt Memorial Park. The slab shall be built according to the construction specifications attached hereto. Concrete Slab - Construction Specifications
Barton County intends to place memorial markers on the slab. Those markers will be installed at a later date and such installation is not part of this request for porposal.
The vendor shall be required to provide proof of liability insurance in an amount of at least one million dollars, and provide proof of insurance as part of the bid package. The vendor must also provide proof the vendor's employees are covered by Kansas Worker's Compensation Insurance, or provide proof satisfactory to the County that Kansas law exemps the vendor from Worker's Compensation coverage.

Vendors wishing to submit a proposal will send the proposal or hand deliver the proposal to the Barton County Clerk at her office, room 202, Barton County Court House, 1400 Main Street, Great Bend Kansas 67530. The proposal shall be provided in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "Golden Belt Concrete Project." Proposals will be accepted by the Clerk until noon January 24th 2014. Proposals will be opened at a later time and date. Proposals will be presented to the Barton County Commissioners at a later date. If the commissioners proceed, construction will be expected to occur as soon as weather permits.
Barton County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals in best keeping with the needs of the County.
This is a turnkey project.
Barton County is not required to pay sales tax for this project.
